To Your Health

Certain things in life shouldn’t be missed, and Friday Happy Hour is one of them. So in light of my efforts to live healthier I scoured the Internet for a refreshing and relatively light cocktail recipe. Here it is:

White Wine Sangria

1 bottle of chardonnay or white zinfandel
1 16-ounce bottle diet tonic water
2 oz brandy
1 cup strawberries, sliced
1 orange, cored and sliced
1 peach, sliced
1/4 cup Splenda
ice

Add the sliced fruit, sugar and 2 cups of ice to large pitcher. Muddle slightly with a muddler or the back of a big wooden spoon.

Add the wine and brandy. Cover and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. Add the tonic water and top the pitcher with more ice. Pour into tall glasses or wine goblets, letting some of the fruit fall into the glass.
